Joseph A. Alagna Jr.

Chairman & CEO
Managing Member

Mr. Alagna’s career in the securities industry spans 24 years. He is a founding member of Joseph Gunnar & Co. (est. in 1997) and currently serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. From 1990-1997, Mr. Alagna was Executive-Vice President and National Sales Manager for a nationally recognized broker-dealer where he was instrumental in developing a twenty  person, one office firm into a business with over 250 financial consultants with eight offices in five states. Mr. Alagna attended the University of Miami and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from C.W. Post College. He resides in Sands Point, New York with his wife Michelle and four school age children.

Stephan A. Stein

President

Mr. Stein has more than 30 years of full spectrum debt, equity and merger/acquisition transaction and business management experience, initially as a practicing attorney in New York City, as a principal of emerging growth stage related companies, and thereafter as an investment banker specializing in nano-cap companies. Mr. Stein came to Joseph Gunnar & Co. in 1999 soon after its founding from Commonwealth Associates, the New York based merchant and investment bank, where he was Managing Director of Corporate Finance. Mr. Stein’s prior roles at Joseph Gunnar & Co. included Head of Investment Banking and, most previously, Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Stein received his Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and his Juris Doctor degree from Vermont Law School. Mr. Stein resides in Jericho, New York with his wife Joanne, a special education teacher; his architect daughter resides in NYC and his younger daughter is a student at Indiana University.

Anthony J. Sica

Managing Director

Mr. Sica has 28 years of financial services experience. He began his career in 1984 with Lehman Brothers Inc. in New York City, where he was a Senior Vice President and a member of the Chairman’s Council. In 1994 he joined Prudential Securities as a Senior Vice President and became a member of Prudential’s Director’s Council. In 2001, Mr. Sica joined Wachovia Securities, where he was a Managing Director and a member of the Chairman’s Council. In 2003, Mr. Sica joined Joseph Gunnar & Co., as a Managing Director, and is currently its Mutual Fund Coordinator and Syndicate Coordinator in addition to his perennial position as a top-producing Financial Consultant. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management & Marketing from CW Post College. Mr. Sica resides in Sands Point, New York, with his wife Joann and three school age sons.

Russell M. Fiske

Managing Director
Sales Manager

Mr. Fiske has over 20 years of Wall Street experience. He began his career at Drexel Burnham Lambert and then became an advisor with Schroeder & Company, one of London’s oldest merchant banking firms. He was a founding partner and manager at Prime Charter LTD and, most recently, was a manager at one of Oppenheimer & Co.’s largest New York City offices. Mr. Fiske joined Joseph Gunnar & Co. in 2009 as a Managing Director and is the Sales Manager for the firm’s corporate headquarters in New York City. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. Mr. Fiske currently resides in Brooklyn, New York with his wife Nina and school age son.
