Joseph Gunnar partnered up with Invest in Bavaria to host OktoberINVESTfest, a high energy event which aims to foster innovation and transatlantic investment by enabling financiers to learn about selected high quality American and German unique investment opportunities, both public and private in the sectors of life science and IT. Invest in Bavaria is an investment promotion agency of Germany’s largest, most innovative state, Bavaria with capital city Munich. Munich, as rated by the European Commission, is Europe’s #1 tech hub! Likewise, Bavaria is a premier region in Europe for medical devices and biotech.
This year’s OktoberINVESTFest brought together more than 300 US and German investors, innovators, industry leaders, Bavarian state representatives as well as a number of innovative North American and German small and micro-cap companies and some early stage investment opportunities. The resulting business and investment ties will deepen transatlantic relations and encourage economic and scientific exchange.
The program featured distinguished panelists and speakers complimented by power networking at our Unconference Luncheon. Throughout the day, over 40 U.S. and German top investment opportunities presented their innovations and businesses in life sciences and information technology to investors. Simultaneously U.S. and German investors and business leaders shared ideas on how to finance innovation and business expansion and opportunities were discussed during 1 on 1 meetings. The conference portion of the event closed with a presentation of Bavarian Innovations. The final highlight of the full-day event was the Little Oktoberfest in New York City, where partners and participants solidified their new relationships over Bavarian beer and cuisine – with awesome views of lower Manhattan from 40 floors above street level!
